Mike, as mayor why can't you just ban junk food at bodegas in Harlem? Thus the scales of economy would be shifted and so would shelf space. Then just let Cornell Cooperative Extension and the bodega man talk about marketing the delights of mango and beets. Would it hurt people who don't have great vegetables and fruits to walk to their nearest currently existing farmer's market? No, it would not. Its such a small town and exercise is good. If you put one more thing on the sidewalk (imagine 1,500 more things on the street, oh my!) where will Pedestrians walk, already a BIG question?
