It happened to me the same way. someone at work told me i have the opportunity to make alot of money and that it can help me pay for school. which at the time i was not in because i didn't have the money. i was working a 12 hour shift and so i arrive at this hotel in Manhattan. i was told to dress professionally because i was going to meet one of the main managers. i put my trust in this person since he seemed nice and when i was at the hotel waiting for the meeting i was nervous. since i thought i might not get the job since i wasn't really into business and then i was taught this special hand shake that im suppose to greet the manager with as a sign of respect. me and this other guy go in at the same time. the other guy had everything resume and was a business major and i was just a high school graduate,i knew about pyramid schemes and i still fell for it why because i knew what they were selling. i knew about it if i wasn't so into technology and didn't know how it worked or what voip was i wouldnt have fallen for it. those bastards compared themselves to aol i love aol and have been using it since it came out and have seen personally how it has grown. as i am in this interview with the "manager" i realize that this isn't really an interview of sorts and the other guy realized it and the thing is he could walk out easily because nobody brought him. as soon as the "manager said 390 hes like wait um im sorry but this isnt for me and left. i should of done the same thing but i didnt because it seemed real. it seemed promising voip is real vonage is real and so im like 390 is nothing and i will make it up later. with this i was told not to tell my parents because they could be potential costumers and i would ruin the approach. i knew a little about business and that made sense and at the time. i was not really talking to my parents anyway. i told no one. 390 was a one time fee and all i got were these cheesy websites that supposedly would help me sell service. now here is were it began to hit me but it was to late. it took them 3 days to get my stuff together because "the manger was away on a trip and didn't have access to the account" and hey doesn't the refund expire in 3 days? i was invited to one of the main meetings and was told i had to pay 12 dollars to get in???? heres were it hurt. surrendering my entire phone book!!! i was already not to sure what i was getting into. so i saved my friends that were closest to me. since i had no time because he was right there. so i took there names misspelled them or didn't even include them in the list and changed around the numbers. i manged to not give out the numbers of my closest friends. here is the comment that saved me so much money and time and it was from another victim on another site and i will never forget it and i would like to share it with anyone who reads my story because it really saved me. it went something like this if you already gave yor.net 390 dollars and are reading this consider that money a donation because if you continue it. you will not only loose your money you will lose your friends and family and you will loose your self respect. please don't pursue it further. 390 may seem like alot of money but it is nothing compared to how much more you will lose. this comment saved me because they were already asking me to pay for the box. sign myself up to there service. sign my friends up, my family, upgrade my cell phone and add more minutes and that would have been alot more money. not to mention having to go to these meetings and waste my time. when i can be working the normal way. yeah its hard work waking up and going to work and living pay check to pay check. trying to get back to school but thats life and a hard lesson learned is that there are organizations out there who feed on the dreams and hopes of people. if you want to make it to the top and thats your dream. then work hard for it. get an education in the field of interest that is most appealing to you. i hope everyone who reads my comment fully is saved from such a horrible scam that our very own government doesn't protect us from because of loop holes that are exploited by a company like this. i bet they pay there taxes because in this country you can do so many illegal things and the government looks the other way because its all about money. everything revolves around it. dont let yor.net be the reason why you lose your money. hope you all the best and hope all of you get out before they destroy your dreams and your life good night.
