Yes it would be wonderful if College were one of many choices for young people. Unfortunately, the corporate world and government have empowered the college industry by making a 4 year degree mandatory for virtually all who seek employment. No wonder the price is staggering! Young people are deeply in debt, and the true value of their education is at best questionable. Making college an option is something private industry can do tommorow if it wants. Once industry stops demanding to see diplomas, (hopefully government will follow) than young people can seek education for the sake of education.
