Superdelegate Says Switching Not an Option

Submitted by Scott Baker, Feb 12, 2008 11:55

If the superdelegates don't reflect the will of the people - especially people voting for the first time because they were promissed their vote mattered - there will be more than just factional infighting on the convention floor. I don't know if we'll see a repeat of the 1968 Democratic Convention riots, but I wouldn't expect all those Obama supporters, particularly if they are in the majority, to go placidly along with the Democratic elite. We were robbed of the rightful victor in 2000 by the stogy oldsters in the Supreme Court; don't think the mantle of deciding the country's fate has been passed on to the Party insiders.
