Mr. Avni. Your observations show that you have some knowledge of the issues relating to the UN renovation and the UN system. My proposal to Mr. Ban Ki --- hold any decision relating to the renovation. Seek expert advise from those who are honest and with integrity -- those who are not already lobbying to get contracts and to suspend the involvement of those who have already worked on the project. Otherwise, this CMP alone can quietly build the first scandal and corruption story for Mr. Ki. He has to move slowly and cautiously --particularly if rebuilding trust is his major goal. (I have followed the CMP issue from day one and I know that if not re-evaluated now, its only pathway is that of a clear wasteland!!!) I hope that reporters like you will keep on reporting on the status and progress of the CMP. I am a communication specialist myself and had produced various materials for UN conferences and programs. Now, I manage a 20-year old organization that services the diplomatic and UN community in their search for affordable, reasonable as well as viable housing facilities worldwide.
