If you are all that serious about getting rid of guns, why don't you try getting governments to give up theirs' first, then you can focus on manufacturing constraints. As long as firearms are being manufactured, and profit is a motive for behavior, then criminals, or would be criminals will have access to said firearms.
Until such a day comes, you will find me fighting for your and my second amendment rights, because unless such a paradigm shift would occur on our planet, all of this anti-gun posturing is little more than a dog and pony show, to say nothing of the politicians preying on their ignorance.
