"He wants to 'reopen' trade deals, which is another way of saying he wants to raise the barriers to free trade"

Or, "which is another way of saying he wants to stem the wanton giveaway of the U.S. economy to foreign powers that has been going on for the last 20 years."

I agree that the Obama spend-o-meter is getting way up there, but I think that reopening naively-conceived trade deals would be a good thing: way overdue.
