While the Democrats seem intent upon hammering the myth , again and again, that US jobs are being outsourced to China, India and our Southern neighbors , they never discuss insourcing. By every measure globalization, and the resulting insource of jobs, has tremendously benefited US workers and our economy : 400, 000 jobs in NY alone, 5.3 million jobs nationwide, with an annual payroll of over 307 billion dollars from foreign owned corporations and multinationals. How this escapes notice, or is intentionally omitted, by the media is more than appalling , it's serious dereliction. But even without these facts, it simply makes no logical sense to proclaim major job losses after 6 solid years of the greatest job growth in history and an unemployment rate of 5% or less--a figure that traditionally meant full employment.
