It's frightening to see how our foreign policy is influenced by the interests of another country.

There are many countries in the middle east, but this article shows that we spend an inordinate amount of effort on the interests of just one. We don't share interests, and our prestige and influence have been greatly damaged by our inability to be an honest broker.

I'm hoping Obama can be neutral and save us from unnecessary grief and delusions, but it looks like he is already facing a lot of crosswinds.
