There is truly an inconsistency at play in this argument. Just as Clinton is being held accountable because of her experience, Obama should be held accountable for his LACK of experience. He is getting a free ride. Clinton states precisely that she's critical of NAFTA's shortcomings, a far cry of being critical of NAFTA itself, per Obama's position. Kindly put, there is no contradiction between being in the white house when NAFTA was passed, and claiming the white house years as part of her experience, while 10 years later stating as a senator that there are shortcomings to the Agreement. On the other hand, to use as platform being opposed to the Iraq war from the beginning when there's absolutely no way to measure that statement, is deceptive and misleading. A lot of people who couldn't vote in the Senate were ALSO opposed to the war. So what? While you examine clinton's statements and status under the microscope, Obama is given a free ride on all of his inconsistencies AND the lack of any empirical way to compare his beliefs with his votes. The fact is, he was nowhere to be found when it came to issues of national policy.
