Why doesn't it surprise me that a religious group is taking such a stance on an issue that doesn't even bear debate. I mean, let's be honest with ourselves here- who, in their right mind, is going to choose abstinence if given the opportunity to have sex? True, it'll be better for your health if you practice abstinence and never catch a disease, but sooner or later you have to leave the house and head out into the big bad world, put a condom on and have sex with a willing participant.

If the choice is between condom use or serious, perhaps fatal, diseases, I would prefer that people use a condom.
