Fate of State Senate Could Pivot on Fishing Dispute

The one thing I was trying to clarify most for Mr. Gershman was timeline of the events that he was given, by Aubertine's people. On the night in question, my neighbor across the river Scott Trump, came to me to find out who in the press Justin could contact to retract the vicious ad. I immediately got Scott (and thence) Justin in touch with a reporter from the Fulton Valley news. Thus Justins retraction took place before our "night out". Another major component of the story is how Aubertine's press rep Cort Ruddy used this young fisherman, who is in fact a long time aquantance of his to attempt to advance Aubertines campaign in the heart of Barclays district.
Many people who understand the fishing rights issue better understand that from the time fishing "took off" the Barclays were in a bad liability position up until 1988 as people were wandering all over their land (including the river bed that flows through their lands). Some were getting hurt and trying to go back on them legally. This river bed is shale rock, sometimes jagged...and frequently when the water rises from the dams or rain---dangerous. Like him or not Doug Barclay was and is a land owner simply trying to reduce his legal liability. In the managed period since 1988 the shoreline erosion along this 2 mile stretch (of 20 miles fishable) has nearly ceased, and the safety of the fishermen there has dramatically improved. Bottom line: If you don't want to pay to fish this area there is plenty more "free" river available.
Justin is a victim in this --not at the hands of the Barclays as portrayed, but by the Aubertine people who used him and then turned on him---releasing the info of his DWI in their 1st press release---before it hit any newspaper---and they based their info on a comment (then unpublished) by a Syracuse reporter.
This race because of its nature as a pivital one vis a vis the balance of power in the State has brought out the worst from all parts, however as a nine generation resident of this lake shore (1 more then Barclay, 2 more then Aubertine) I am appalled at the amount of money pouring in from New York City and other parts of the country---primarily to boost Aubertine. What brings George Soros to our poor little region with 75K? come on!
