Death In Damascus

Bullies and mass murderers of innocent people usually do not stop just because someone doesn't resist them. They have a saying, "First comes Saturday, then comes Sunday"...meaning when we can "we will kill anyone who will not bend to our political/religious goals and if we are Shia (as Mughiyeh is), when we've killed all nonMuslims, then we will begin killing all the Sunni we can until only Shia are left." Weakness and giving in to the enemy here only emboldens him. Ronald Reagan made that point when he refused to give in to fear and to all the demands of the Communists and exposed the moral bankruptcy of their system. When an enemy meets someone with both a superior moral standard, similar will, and the power to back that, only then will he back down. The problem is, so far most of Hezbollah's enemies lack will, and too often the moral fortitude to see it through.
