Raymond Kelly rules the police department with an iron hand. With the exception of Patrick Lynch of the Patrolmen's Benevolent Association all those persons either civilian or members of the uniformed ranks above sergeant do the "KING'S" bidding. Commissioner Kelly incorporates the will of the dedicated masses in his own person. The commissioner makes his own law and rulings enacted by his sole authority regardless of previous custom or history. Raymond Kelly subscribes to the old latin phrase..."quod principi placuit legis habet vigorem' or "what pleases the king has the force of law"!

Leonard Levitt has written this message in similar terms, being most of the time the lone "gadfly" in full dissent with the policies of Commissioner Kelly. There is no question this is the cause of Mr. Levitt's loss of press credentials.iThank God Leonard still has the constitutional right to continue his quest for truth in his own on line e-mail.
