Cavs Finally Get LeBron a Decent Supporting Cast

Submitted by Gil Kunken, Feb 22, 2008 12:17

I think the trade makes Cleveland less athletic and weakens their defense; not something good to go into the playoffs with. They do get deeper and shed Hughes' onerous contract. Can't see why LeBron wanted Kidd though--the ball is in LeBron's hands too much.

As for the Nets, wouldn't they be scoring in the 70s without Carter? Sean Williams, Josh Boone, Stromile Swift and DeSagana Diop can all jump but none can hit a jump shot. That aside, how about Carter and Marcus Williams for Nene, Najera, Klieza and Smith? Denver gets a young point and an athletic wing to free up AI and the Nets get some cap relief, size inside and 2 young players who can score.

P.S. I really enjoy your articles.

Gil
