Mr. Pavarotti announced his final performance in 2002 at the Met. However, he took ill and was unable to sing. In 2004, he took pity on his fans and did manage to perform in Tosca as his farewell. He did not sing in New York City again. Therefore he had ONE farewell performance, not several as you have stated. Need to get your facts straight there.
