How an Ex-Aide to President Clinton Stashed Classified Documents

Submitted by Rich, Dec 22, 2006 12:22

Our government is regrettably replete with puzzling and frustrating examples of "justice". These indiscretions are further mystified by the "watchdog" Media's selective coverage (or lack, there of) of said stories. The Sandy Berger story of his abuse of his power and privilage to steal highly classified documents from the national archives in association with the 9/11 commission investigation wreaks with newsworthiness, but the reporting on this incredibly important occurance has been, and still is, comparatively stiffled.

No, the Foley homosexual incident in Florida is more important for me and you to know about. No, the Rosy-Trump fued is more vital to our position in the world. No, Cheney's homosexual daughter's pregnancy is more worthy of your full attention. Somehow a matter of national security, and something that smells heavily of a cover up for the Clinton administrations indiscretions in dealing with the growing terrorist threat in the 90's, and the fact that he risked all to somehow "mishandle" very likely incriminating evidence speaks volumes of the Media's puzzling silence with such a huge story?

And the government is just as puzzling. Many opportunities for the Bush administration to press and investigate this existed and still do, but no effort to meaningfully expose Berger for just what an egregious crime was commited! This was evidenced in the Bush administrations silence during this period, and the very lame and almost commical attempt at punishment for such high crimes.

The combined efforts of the Media and the Government at many levels to "pull the wool over your eyes" and coerce the gullible public into believing that this matter was handled properly and justice was served is insulting and very worrisome of our compitence in holding an esteemed position in the national and world intelligence business. This whole government-media complex needs to be exposed and called on the carpet...somehow...some way and set straight, or this once great nation will continue to slip into the annals of history as the experiment in freedom that failed.
