Ralph Nader Announces White House Bid

Submitted by Hontero, Feb 24, 2008 14:23

No matter what the liberal elite and the conservative elite (as opposed to the conservative rank-and-file) may be saying about their current Presidential candidates, many of us can see that this is a sorry, pitiful trio. All of them are compromised in some major way. Clinton is brittle opportunist tied to a past presidency, McCain is a corporate yes-man closely tied to the disastrous Bush policies and to corporate lobbyists:

Obama would be a great talk show host but is politically inexperienced.

Bloomberg is just another corporatist ostrich with his head in the sand - unwilling to recognize the crisis that the U.S. is in due to the billions squandered in Iraq and to the giveaway of large parts of the U.S. economy, its manufacturing base, and its labor market to China and India. It didn't have to be this way: Corporate America made it happen. Corporate America is facilitating the huge U.S. trade deficit, offshoring of jobs, and U.S. wage stagnation. Do I need to remind everyone that Corporate America and Wall Street caused the subprime mortgage crisis?

Ralph Nader will add some needed diversity to the discourse. I certainly don't agree with him on everything but he will inject some truths that none of the others will touch. He will also siphon votes from the Democrats. Now all we need is Lou Dobbs to enter the race - bringing his own truths that none of the others will touch - to siphon votes off the Republican.

NOW WE'RE COOKIN'!!
