You're wrong about this parent of schoolchildren... and nearly all the parents of schoolchildren whom I know.
And you're absolutely right that McCain, in contrast with Obama, is sure a straight-talker. The man who spent the first several months of his primary campaign bedding down with the "agents of intolerance" he decried in 2000 and pandering to the far right wing-nuts to undo all he tried to accomplishon immigration is an absolute paragon of steadiness.
