Now that the repressive tyrant Saparmurat Niyazov is dead, the flag of Islam will rise above Turkmenistan. The peolpe are free to worship Allah and not be forced to idolize the self-proclaimed "President for life." Interestingly the U.S. government speaks only about continuing relations with the new leader(s) of Turkmenistan, but no mention of improved human rights, nor democracy..
