Hevesi Pleads Guilty, Resigns From Office

The thing which is most infuriating about Mr. Helvisi and his like-minded ilk, is that they forget that they are public "servants." The American Heritage Dictionary defines a servant as : "one who expresses submission, recognizance, or debt to another."

It is time for Mr. Helvisi and his kind to reexamine their place in society; that is, they are servants and not the elected elite; nor are they entitled to the luxuaries which the people who elected them can not afford. These arrogant officials, along with their brethren in the civil-service are "over-pensioned", "over-protected" and over-compensated compared to the actual value of the services which they perform.

It is highly doubtful that Helvisi could have survived had he been held to the standards of performance required by private-sector managers and executives. If it were not for the "phoney balonet" government jobs, these people would not have a viable living.

Good riddence; now let's get the rest of the lazy political hacks out of Albany and the cities.
