Doctors Fear Malpractice 'Disaster'
in response to reader comment: Good luck, patients!

Submitted by Madayil Nair, Feb 26, 2008 08:34

I am a patient. American Doctors have so many organizations scattered over specialities. Most of these organizations are controlled by few Doctors. They are not willing to fight against the Government or 'Few greedy-patients' or their relatives. If the Doctors get together, then there will be a solution to mal practice insurance issues. Federal Government cannot do anything as long as, it is controlled and managed by lawyers. Fritz tried in the Senate.

Every profession has the "right to survive" through organizations, some may call it unions. Why not? Fight for your survival. Don't blame others for your lack of skills to "organize to survive". All other workers, including Nurses do strike for their rights. "Strike" is not a four-letter word, it has six letters. You are not hurting patients in the long term, you are hurting few vested interest groups such as politicans, lawyers.

"Doctors' survival is patients' health"
