This is another clear example of liberals wanting the government to take care of everyone from cradle to grave. Warning labels on bags, cushioned playgrounds, warnings on car ads not to copy some actor driving a car off a cliff.

Americans are adults. I've spent the last 8 years working after college to establish good credit. I've rented until now hoping against hope that real estate prices would drop or at least level off from insane levels. I've watched these risk-takers buy more house than they can afford only to reap huge gains when they turned the home around the next week. And now you're telling me that I should bail out these people who took too much risk with variable rate and interest only loans??? That's insane.

I recently finally bought an apartment in Manhattan and ensured several safety nets on my own. I made sure I had a 12 month cushion of liquid cash in case I lost my job. Put together excel spreadsheets of monthly expenses and interest vs. principal payments per month. Why can't these people put the same due diligence into buying a home? I mean, this is one of the biggest decisions in your life and these people just signed without doing any of their homework. Hell no I'm not bailing these people out.
