This inexplicable judgment by the IRS has gone round the world: most governments now believe the Scientologists are recognised as a religion in the US and this gives the CoS overseas a weighty argument and influences their own national courts, who know less about the cult than most Americans. The logical way out is not to extend the tax break to other religions but to remove it from all of them.
