Has the State Senate blown it when it has to come the budget, medicaid, and education yes!. However, for all their flaws is this the time to be hoping they lose the majority so they can build back the party?
What planet is the New York Sun living on, the National Republican Party tried that for 30 years until Ronald Reagan came along, does the New York Sun want to see Governor Spitzer with no check on his agenda, and New York Sun have you been to New Jersey lately? Get back to me on that one to see how things are going there.
For every office in this entire state except the Mayor to be controlled by one party is "UNDEMOCRATIC". If you want higher taxes, bigger spending, bigger government projects, pro-criminal bills than by all means the door is wide open.
If you look at it closely 17 or so Republican Senators are pushing 75, by the time we rebuild the New York Sun won't exist in a "Paper Format".
I have my disagreements with the Republican Party in this state on issues as do you do New York Sun, but at the same time I have seen what is happening in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and what could very well happen in Washignton.
The only way to fight for the principles of what New Yorkers stand for not just for the Republican Party is to call them out just like the late great "William Buckley" would, but I would like to have them around at least, you decide?
