Constitutionally are there any illegal guns?? There are 80,000,000 gun owners in the USA with some 200,000,000 guns owned. Many of them are not registered and will remain unregistered. The real problem in my humble opinion is that there are too few guns in the hands of responsible people and too many in the hands of the thugs. Thugs ,by the way, that are coddled in the criminal justice system. An armed public, after a short adjustment period, would rid the nation of said thugs and crime rates would plummet. The second amendment was written to protect US from the GOVERNMENT. Watch CSI and other cops shows as they show up in swat gear and draw a little white line around the CORPSE. It is your responsibility to protect yourself and your family. Restricting guns benefits only the thugs. And , maybe , the large police unions .
