Clemente's No. 21 May Be Retired From Play

Submitted by Roberto, Mar 3, 2008 15:53

I've read two or three comments which have in a way insulted two deceased human beings. One, I don't think its appropriate to say "Clemente is out at before reaching 1st" or "Mantle was a drunk." The meaning behind all this is for good and some of these comments are bringing out the bad. Many of us have enjoyed this campaign to Retire 21 for some time now and support it. We should not spoil this great cause by insulting two humans beings that not only changed the world of sports, but gave many us numerous times to cheer and celebrate while enjoying our national and international passtime.
