I have recently read Mr. Obama's tax plan and I am scared to death. Who does he think is "rich"? $200,000 is very different than $20Million but the liberal democrats see this as all the same. The $200k is just like everybody else living from paycheck to paycheck and what is not realized is that huge amounts of money are taken from that paycheck each period and what is left is only a fraction. These are the people driving the economy. Who is going to hire the new employee in the business, who is going to invest in growing the business?, who is going to take expensive trips to Disney World?, who is going to buy the new car?....on and on. All of these factors rely upon one another and are impacted by the next one down the line. The growth of this economy will grind to a halt with ever growing numbers of people lining up to get on the government giveaway train! Since when is is bad to spend your life educating yourself, working and training for as high paying a career as possible. Isn't that the American dream? Don't we all aspire to that and if we make it we should be pummelled by taxes to pay for those who had not the ambition, drive or determination to do the same with themselves? I have heard enough demonization of "the rich" by liberal democrats and their plan to gauge us even more. My self and most of my colleagues (doctors) agree that if these tax plans go into effect what you will see is a sharp decrease and availability of medical services. Medicine is an industry like anything else and noone wants to work for free. Would you work more 100 hour work weeks if more and more of what you made went to fund the bloated government who was bent on redistributing your hard-earned pay to those who don't or won't work. This is socialism at its best(worst) and if this man is elected president and this plan is enacted I guarantee you won't find me working extra shifts and longer hours in the emergency department.
