In 2002, ACOG, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, dropped their restriction that pregnant women should keep their heart rates below 140 BPM during aerobic exercise.
Studies show that lying on the right side, or on the back, does not have a significant impact on uterine blood flow, so you can add that to your urban myth pile too.
