The Non-Sulzberger Death Tax

There is no greater hypocricy in the world than that of a socialist that gets the taste of capitalism. The "greed bug" hits them when they stand to make a tidy windfall from any venture in which they have invested their own 'evil capital". They will go through all the same planning exercises as the dread bourgois capitalist pigs go through in order to keep as much as possible. Even worse, according to the article he "sold" the apartment to his wife rather than gifting the property to her. There is generally no gift or estate tax consequence to a gift between spouses. (I am not privy to the estate plan so there may be a valid reason to sell the property to her) But by selling the property to his spouse, now that is greed!

Maybe, just maybe, you are a little quick to pull the trigger on the Pinch's. It is quite possible she is going to sell the property and gift the proceeds outright to the poor that the Pinch's so valiantly champion. I hope the poor aren't depending upon that windfall to relieve their hunger, they will likely wait a long time.
