The Pyongyang Overture

The mix of Ego and Millions are responsible for the self-serving diplomatic mission of messers Mehta and Maazel. The conductor should be fired immediately and so should Mehta. Musicians should make music and the politicians should make policy. Any reverse is dangerous. Left-wing aberationalism is a dangerous condition especially in New York which confuses genuine humanitarian causes with serving delusional egos such as Maazel and Mehta. I wish that the crybaby orchestra would be fined and the Board of Directors held responsible for this deliberate faux pas. The fines could be put towards musical education within our own country, rather than trying to placae a bunch of Communist stuffed shirts where there was no gain artistic of humanitarian. Condolezza Rice, next door in South Korea could only prais thier orchestra, playing the Beethoven 9th on the same night. Her comment that the New York Philharmonic was "just a performance of a Dvorak symphony" says enough.
