City Ads To Discourage Giving Money to Homeless

Honestly, every time I hear the mayor or police commissioner citing statistics--'crime is down!' I cringe. People who use statistics to defend their arguments generally make the statistics fit that argument. For example, when it is reported that murder rates are down, it isn't mentioned that this is wholly dependant on what is classified as 'murder'. This holds true for all categories of crime.

Using black and white photographs is no less than a propaganda tactic.

So, we should really give money to charities, right? This way, instead of buying lunch for a hungry person, we can buy lunch--at a very nice restaurant--for the heads of charities. Charity in this country is a scam; I believe the head of the American Red Cross proved that a few years back; an adept googler can easily find countless examples (Mike Ditka, for example: his charity collected millions to help ex-players with medical needs, but allocated less than 10% of that money to those it was meant to serve--his excuse? he needed the money for his golf tournament!!)

Give to the homeless--directly!
