City Council Seeks ID Scanners at Clubs, Power to Enforce State Liquor Laws

Our new police chief in Shreveport La. is proposing a 57 point plan for nightclubs pattern after NYC. Owning a nightclub i disagree that with security camera being mandated to be installed in nightclubs or antwhere else. Although we use security camera they are should not be mandated to be made available to the polIce department. That when the public privacey is compromised. As far as id scanners are concerned they only show the person presenting the id imay may have an id that shows 21 or older. It does not verify that it is the same person. In other words most underaged in nightclub do not use fake id's but are borrowed from siblings or friends that are 21. I have taken thousand of ids and less then 1% are fake. Scanners actually let more minors in them a well trained door person. There are enough laws on the books to govern clubs. The lack of zoning regulation are more of a problem to the community
