Leader: Colombia's Military Action Puts Region at Risk

Submitted by datadave, Mar 5, 2008 22:55

Fox News and Bush have been yammering about the "Dictator" of South America ignoring the fact that he is a popularly elected leader and has a few points about national borders being respected. Uribe's govt. has been long associated with right wing death squads that have killed far more people than FARC's ever done. Until recently the Colombian military and it's death squads have been responsible for much of the cocaine traffiking to the USA. Farc has filled that role as our nation has bought off Uribe's military with lavish aid.

One most remember who is the aggressor here. Colombia's military has time and time invaded it's neighbors not unlike the Turks who continue in their genocide against the Kurds. Uribe's use of 'genocide' for a political war of words and some action is irresponsible double-speak that'd make even Stalin or Goebbels blush.
