Is Hamas Copying Hezbollah?

Hillel Halkin makes a powerful case against an attempted military solution to the Hezbollah/Hamas
strategy of wounding, deflating, incessantly harassing and ultimately defeating (i.e. eliminating) Israel by
inflicting thousands of miniscule wounds: daily! It now seems that new rockets being suppliedd Hezbollah in plenitude will penetrate further north into new towns. There will be more miniscule wounds. Halkin suggests "talks" as the only course. But he needs to write another column. How does he imagine those "talks" might go? What would Israel request or demand, and if demand, with what threat? What would Israel offer as incentive to persuade Hamas to halt what he concedes are twice successful tactics. And would he regret possibly abetting developments which would see these tactics adapted in other areas of "Palestine"? I understand the appeal, the mantra, of "talks" we hear much the same in this country as well. But talks about what and with what conceivable outcome? Halkin needs to say more.
