If Chavez isn't a proxy of Iran then maybe it is the other way around? No dice. This is another continent and country meddling in Western American affairs and attempting to destroy a relatively benign nation - Columbia. Anyway, if Chavez's terrorists against Columbia use Ecuador or Venezuela as bases for aggression against Columbia then they are fair targets for Columbia to pursue. This is apparently the reason for Chavez worrying so much. He supports and gives bases for the terrorists to murder Colombians. Chavez himself is a fair target for the USA, and Israel, to pursue and kill. Let's hope that is done soon.
