This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of in my life. I am pro-life all the way, but even if I was pro-choice I would oppose this. It doesn't help anyone and my stand on this issue has nothing to do with religion. I was born Muslim, Catholic, pagan, and Eastern Orthodox. I was baptized Roman Catholic, but I am not a religious person. I am a spiritual one though.
I am only in high school, and I go to Aquinas High School, who signed a petition against this Abortion Proposal today. I encourage every school to sign petitions against this.
It does not guarantee safety at all, to the mother or the child. And yes, it is a child. Abortion is murder, you cannot tell me that a flower is a living thing and a fetus isn't. And unborn child should have the same rights as a human because it is a human.
It is ridiculous for any health practitioner to be allowed to perform an abortion seeing as said health practitioner might not even have the training to perform an abortion. We already have money going to Iraq instead of education, we don't need to be paying taxes for abortions.
This law, if passed, also gives teens freedom to go out and have sex whenever they want. Abortion is wrong. You made the choice, you deal with the consequences. It is not anyone's right to decide whether another should live or die. This law, if passed, basically lets you get away with murder.
For the sake of women and unborn children, this proposal should be strongly opposed and the governor should not even be in office.
