NYU, Brooklyn Polytechnic Merger Talks To Resume
in response to reader comment: The Real Question Is..

I will only say that my dad told me he didn't want me to attend NYU for one reason and one reason only: They sold his engineering department to Brooklyn Poly (simply put although it was a little more complex than that) - and caused him lots of complications on his doctorate program. So you are talking about something like around the 1970's. So if you are concerned Brooklyn's Eng. Dept might dissappear, consider how some of the older generations who HAD their engineering degrees from NYU felt!!!
