Ten13 asks, "But will the Vatican also encourage that the Catholic Church in the United States continue to give a 'wink and a nod' to the Democrat politicians who advocate abortion?" I would ask ten13 if s/he'd prefer to have the Vatican lend support to those who would engage in "preemptive" war, ravage the environment, and work against unionization, all against the tenets of Catholic social teaching?
