Maguire said "People will listen to him [Pope Benedict], and he'll go back home, and it won't make much difference."

The article mentions declining enrollments. With the likes of Maguire in the last 30 or so years, little wonder. And, as a convert to Catholicism, I find those graduates from schools like Maguire woefully ignorant of Catholicism, religion in general - and worst of all - lacking in devotion to Christ and the Church He established.

Thank God Benedict is the Pope and Maguire's generation will retire. Young Catholics today are not going his way. They don't like to add water to vintage wine.
