The Future of Commuting

Submitted by John House, Mar 7, 2008 22:07

I drive to work locations, not to work. Often, I do not even drive to the location. I log into the a remote computer and have a conversation with the client's employee while she and I look at the same screen. The result is less stress, higher productivity and better response to client needs. My clients and I enjoy less expenses to boot.

Governments and quasi-government agencies need to pay much more attention to what people do. If the activities of citizens warrant, make the case for a reasonable and adequate tax increase for the most flexible infrastructure as possible.

The flexibility, efficiency and convenience of remote monitoring and Internet enabled communication are incredibly substantial. We will soon find our transit infrastructure overbuilt, just as we have an excess of retail shopping space today.
