So now we have the spectacle of the USA training Fatah gunmen who have been, and who continue to be, enemies of the Israelis! In the vain hope that a Fatah led faction can overcome the Hamas gunmen, our enlightened government is going to spend effort and money training these now "respectable thugs".

"Alice in Wonderland comes to the Middle East" might be a good title for such an enlightened policy!
