Spitzer's Future as Governor in Doubt
in response to reader comment: A hard fall

Submitted by Erica Mims, Mar 10, 2008 17:46

I can understand why so many people are upset. I don't understand why someone who has the brass ring (so to speak) would do something like this. I remember the Eliot Spitzer who was willing to help the people of Ithaca, New York solve a very distressing case of discrimination in the matter of a small business owner. Maybe his fame and success went to his head. Remember another guy who was caught with his pants down? (so to speak). Mr. William Clinton, former President of the United States. We should understand that this is not the time to kick a man when he is down.

This is a lesson that we all need to learn from, that rich and powerful men are not immune to temptations of the flesh. Right now this is between him and his family. Let's see how he handles it. We should remember another famous President who did similar things, Mr. John F. Kennedy.

It's a shame, but it happens.
