Council Member Wants U.S. To Pressure China on Tibet
in response to reader comment: DEAD PEOPLE TALKING by Tsoltim N. Shakabpa

Submitted by Tenzin Dorjee, Mar 11, 2008 14:32

I want to give shout out to the profound sentiments and power that be in Mr. T.N. Shakabpa's Dead People Talking. I remember listening to Tibetan history lectures by his late father and our great Tibetan historian as a teenager in India. I greatly admire both father and son for their complete dedication to Tibetan Independence and using the power of their pens to fight against the ruthless Communist China's brutal use of weapons to oppress Tibetans inside Tibet for about five decades and innocent people in Darfur, Burma, Nepal and Pakistan.

I also want to express my deepest appreciation to new york and other council members, leaders and people across the world who lend their voice of freedom and justice to the voiceless Tibetans including 1.2 million dead people talking. To those who are afraid of Red China for political and economic gains, I quote these words of a poet: "They are slave who fear to speak; For the fallen and the weak." May these words sink into their souls and have a change of heart for freedom, justice, peace and human rights.

One World, One Dream, Free Tibet.
