NEWS FLASH - Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disorder where the body destroys the capability of the islet cells in the pancreas to produce insulin. So you can't cure type 1 diabetes unless you can find a permanent way to stop the body from attacking itself. Preventative medicine would most likely involve genetic engineering. Your voo doo chili pepper spice ‘cure' and ESC are nothing but treatments. The longer the prevention mechanism or post diagnosis treatment lasts the better off diabetics are. So if your new saviors, the Toronto doctors, actually got islet cells in mice to produce insulin, then they did not simulate advanced type 1 diabetes. It's another ‘misrepresentation' like that South Korean researcher. Having a way to self regenerate islet cells is almost as good as a cure, and has been accomplished by ESC in mice. This gives a longer term treatment than your voo doo spice cure. You've been watching too much Dune. It's amazing how often those with the most to say and a forum to say it have the least amount of knowledge about the subject they wail about. Time for you to spring for a knowledge upgrade for Christmas. What a fundamentalist whack job. Let me give it a little twist by saying happy holidays.
