OK, I'm a libertarian and for the most part I believe what adults want to do with each other should be legal and that includes talking about making a deal for sex which is all this type of prostitution is. In this case it is so ridiculous because it was perfectly legal for them to have sex - just not to bargain and pay for it. The crime is the bargain and not the sex. This is what is so unbelievably ridiculous about prostitution laws affecting consenting adults. Legal to have sex, legal to give money - Not legal to give money for sex. Ridiculous! But.......WHEN YOU RUIN PEOPLE'S LIVES OVER IT LIKE MR SPITZER MADE A CAREER OF DOING AND THEN YOU GET CAUGHT------THAT IS JUST ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS! Those defending him remember that he slapped cuffs on folks for doing this. He sat on his high horse and enforced the ridiculous and anti-liberty nanny-state laws. Spitzer deserved this. He really, really, really deserved this.
