So Mr. Spitzer has done the honourable gentlemanly thing and proffered his resignation. In my view, he does deserve admiration and respect for that action. But us this enough for the wolves? Of course not - this is politics!

I very much doubt if any prosecution under the Mann Act would stand. But even if it does, I do not doubt for one second that the wolves - who are not content with simply having their carcass but must devour it avidly until the very last bone - will let go. Once again, this is politics! I suspect that poor Mr. Spitzer will be blamed for much that was not of his making or choosing by those "cleaner than clean" lily-white hounds who bayed for prosecution and impeachment. Of course, is it not the first rule of politics to kick a man when he is down? Aparently, yes, it is! And what are those very same politicians doing now? Why - reassuring us all how good their intentions really are. Codswallop. my dear Sirs - utter codswallop!

Believe some of that particular fraternity and you are a fool. Vote for those same people and you are effectively giving them a licence to do as they please, without recourse to you, the voter.

I wish Mr. Spitzer and his family well. It will be most interesting to note what sinister happening is next on the agenda. I have a feeling that we will not have to wait too long!
