The editorial said what the words conveyed, not the "meaning" between the lines. If the writer meant something else, he should have written something else, and could have. The editorial promoted, no, encouraged, teen pregnancy. Afterthoughts count for nothing. The time for "pregnant" reflection occurred before publication.
The notion - no matter how "Swiftian" - is irresponsible and repulsive.
