He was elected by landslide. He had met his needs this way for many years, and had spent some $80,000 doing so according to the article.

Everyone is a human being, specifically a man or a woman with the same broad needs as caused Governor Spitzer's undoing. While many, probably most, do not indulge his indiscretions, we all know that we are tempted, often and sometimes strongly.

To see someone prosecute with such aggressive zeal in areas where everyone fails to some degree should have been a tip that blindness and hypocrisy were part of his character.

I am sad for Governor Spitzer, and I am more sad for those who voted for him.
