The Mayor is protecting his rich friends and continuing to place the financial burden on the middle class. As a lifelong NY'er I've seen Guiliani and Bloomberg sellout NYC to developers, at the cost of old neighborhoods and long time small businesses, all in the name of "progress". Tax breaks for the rich are a big mistake for NYC. Rich people should be taking the responsiblity of balancing the budget, instead of avoiding to paying taxes like they all are prone to do. Congestion pricing is just another example of the Mayor making the city undesirable for middle class people, it is an extremely ill-prepared tax scheme and will do little to improve congestion in Manhattan.
